LinkedIN is all the rage and it is here to stay. It serves as a
complementary tool to your resume. On average
individuals spend 10 seconds (you heard that right) 10
seconds looking at your resume. So is absolutely crucial
that you make yours SHINE!
You can quickly do this with your Skills Section.
Here is what you need to do....
1. Move your Skill Section right underneath your summary section. Hold that
arrow and move it right on up to your top of your linkedIN! We are going to
make your unique skills shine as a reason why you should be considered for the job.
2. Quit letting your sorority sisters and family members endorse you click
"no endorsements." It is not a professional portrayal of YOU.
3. Delete all of the skills that do not align with your brand.
Microsoft Word? Power Point? Is this really what you want
to be known for? Go ahead and delete those.
4. Strategically select up to 7 skills that align with your brand.
Get creative! (Network-Marketing, Creative Pitching, Strategic
Planning, Experience Design, Composing Press Releases, Business
Growth Opportunities.) Get it? The more personalized
the skills are to you... the better!
