DEAR BG - INTERVIEW FASHION & HEAD-SHOTS
Q: I have an informational interview coming up. Should I dress business casual or formal? Also, when taking notes, should I be writing in a notebook or am I allowed to use my computer?
A: Business casual! If you are in a trendy industry - dress trend forward. No computer, but notebook is great! Don't forget to write them a thank you email within a few hours and then hand-written thank you card within 24 hours. Good luck!

Q: I am getting some head-shots taken next week for my new website/portfolio that I am creating and I was wondering if you had advice on an outfit to wear? Should I be more professional or is dressing a bit more casual okay?
A: Great question - if you are in the design industry you should be wearing something that is trend-forward but still professional. Think great blazer, silk blouse with a bow on it, button up oxford for more traditional corporate environments etc. You will want to make sure that your head-shot is taken with a non-distracting background and your makeup is natural.
